Through my time working under Professor Yazawa, I was given many opportunities to take on new challenges and enjoy a wide range of rewarding experiences.

One of the most valuable experiences for me was learning how to conduct water quality surveys from scratch—something I had never done before. The process of actually collecting water samples and seeing the results emerge as numerical data was completely different from my usual research, which mainly focuses on literature review. It felt fresh and genuinely exciting. I also had the opportunity to be involved in writing academic papers related to water quality surveys. Although there were many challenging moments because everything was new to me, the sense of accomplishment I felt when the work was completed was immense and deeply satisfying.

I learned not only how to carry out field surveys, but also how to interact respectfully with local people and how to approach unfamiliar places with a positive and open mindset. Each trip brought new discoveries and insights.
